*** Scenario ***


Two months ago, the Investigative Cybercrime Unit (ICU) lost contact with their best agent, Will Hackett.


Due to a manpower shortage, they were unable to check what actually happened to him. But now, the ICU has a new intern: You.


Before Will disappeared, he left a thumb drive behind. Most of the data is encrypted, but we think it contains information about the last case he was working on.


Your mission: Retrace Agent Will Hackett's investigation, and find out where he is now.


FlagRush is inspired by mission-style CTFs such as CSIT’s The InfoSecurity Challenge (TISC), and immersive scenarios like the ones at Hacktoria.


We hope you have as much fun playing FlagRush as we did creating it!


*** How to Play ***


  1. Get the challenge files from this GitHub Repo. You can choose to download it as a zip folder, or clone the repo directly using a Git tool.
  2. Each “puzzle” folder is protected by a password. The password is the flag from the previous challenge
  3. A separate folder named “documents'' contains other files found on Will Hackett’s thumb drive. It is up to you to determine if they are helpful for your current challenge.
  4. Submit your flags through this Portal. You can also give us your feedback and suggestions through this Google Form, so we can make future CTFs even more awesome!
  5. Leaderboard rankings will be determined by highest challenge level submitted, followed by number of bonus flags, and finally by the time taken to submit the flags.
  6. Please do not post writeups or solutions publicly before the 3rd of June.
